Hello there.
So this is what I have been working on for the last six months, a new Tabletop Roleplaying Game set in 1930s America and featuring all the pulpy goodness of the fiction of that era. But what seperates Noir 1933 from other punchy shooty TTRPGs is our commitment to telling the stories of marginalised people – the unknown, hidden heroes, who rise up from their communities to join in the great struggle for justice.
Noir 1933 features nine Archetypes of pulpy heroes, from the classic Slugger and Street Sharp, to the technology-based Gadgeteers and Augments, topped by the extreme weird of the energy-slinging Volatile and the Entity-communing Mystic. Each hero is intimately linked with their own Neighbourhood, drawing upon its power and its resources, and rules for building urban spaces such as Neighbourhoods and even entire Cities are a key aspect of playing Noir 1933.
The Kickstarter for Noir 1933 will be going live in two weeks. You can see the Pre-Launch page here, view the Noir 1933 Facebook page here, and have a gander at the Instagram page here. You can sign up here if you want to sign up to a mailing list for Noir 1933 news.
I will have much more to share with you shortly – art, scenarios, new heroes and ace new rules to bewitch and befuddle both players and GMs alike.
I love Noir 1933. I hope you love it too.
